MyState Australian Wooden Boat Festival
The MyState Australian Wooden Boat Festival is the largest wooden boat festival in the Southern Hemisphere, with more than 500 registered boats, from tall ships to exquisitely crafted canoes and everything in between. From its humble beginnings in 1994, it has grown to become the most significant boating event of its kind in Australia.
The festival is a celebration of Australia's maritime heritage and the long history of building wooden boats in Tasmania. More than 220,000 visitors attend the festival, staged once every two years, with the boating spectacle taking in the entire Hobart waterfront.
