Two new outboards added to 'Big block' 2.9 litre engine range.

The Haines Group, distributors of Suzuki Marine outboards, has announced the release of two new four-cylinder, four-stoke engines.

The DF150AP/DF175AP models feature the same 2.9 litre engine and feature set as seen in the DF200AP model released in April 2015.

According to Suzuki, the outboards offer the largest displacement in their respective classes (2,867cm3) in the form of the 'Big Block' in-line four-cylinder DOHC engine, as well as a higher compression ratio designed to generate 129kW (175) and 110kW (150) output.

Suzuki’s Selective Rotation, another feature of the AP models, means the motors can be configured for either regular or counter-clockwise operation for vessels equipped with multiple engines.

Options available with the DF150AP/DF175AP include the new Suzuki Precision Manoeuvring joystick system which utilises the Suzuki Precision Control for a fully integrated electronic throttle, shift, steering and joystick control.

“The new Suzuki DF150AP/DF175AP motors demonstrate why there is no other outboard brand like it in the world – Suzuki Marine is truly unique,” said Sean Allen, national marketing manager Aust/NZ.

“You may think all outboards look the same, but once you get under the surface you’ll see why those in the know choose Suzuki Marine.

“We pioneered technology such as Lean Burn Control System and Suzuki Precision Control for outstanding fuel economy, offset driveshaft and maintenance-free timing chains for reduced noise and lower servicing costs, innovations that feature in these new models.”

The DF150AP/DF175AP models are available to order now in two colours – Pearl Nebular Black or Cool White and feature new 3D decals.
