Simrad goes big with 9-inch GO
Bigger multifunction display for radar, sonar, charts and engine data.
Simrad has added to its range of GO series multifunction displays with the latest GO9 XSE featuring a 9-inch screen.
Like its smaller predecessors, the GO9 XSE enables a range of on-water functions to be integrated on the one screen including radar, fish-finding, charting, autopilot, engine data and entertainment systems. It is fully compatible with Simrad's Broadband 3G/4G radar systems and features an internal 10 Hz GPS receiver and built-in wi-fi.
The Cruise Charting page combines navigation data and charts into one easy-to-read display, while Simrad's latest TripIntel technology tracks and displays the key information needed to plan a trip. This includes the fuel range overlaid on charts, current and future tide levels, and a detailed history of previous trips including the route taken and how the boat performed.
Combined with an appropriate transducer, the GO9 XSE can display real-time depth tracking and fish-finding. A scrollable depth history view allows boaters to track back and easily set waypoints for promising anchorages. The TotalScan all-in-one transducer matches StructureScan HD Imaging, DownScan Imaging and CHIRP sonar for picture-like views of the bottom on each side and beneath the boat as well as providing improved target identification at greater depths.
ForwardScan sonar technology built into the GO9 XSE (transducer sold separately) also provides forward-looking, two-dimensional sonar views of the bottom depth ahead of a boat.
The GO9 XSE connects to NMEA2000-compatible equipment to show fuel flow, fluid level, speed, heading and water temperature. Control of audio entertainment is available via SonicHub2 and there is a wide range of cartography options available including C-MAP and Navionics.
The GO9 XSE is available in various configurations ranging from AU$1,899/NZ$2069 RRP without transducer, and up to AU$2,049/NZ$2239 RRP with the TotalScan transducer. It will be available in stores from November 2016.
