NOMEN adds stainless steel finish

Award-winning deck fittings from Germany now available in stainless steel.

NOMEN Products GmbH, based in Hamburg, Germany, has introduced a new stainless steel version of its stylish mooring fittings.

“We have a lot of success with our aluminium line in the market of big sailing boats, where the weight factor is an issue,” said founder Axel Hoppenhaus. “But for some time we receive more and more requests for stainless fittings, going to be used on big powerboats and super yacht projects, where the mirror polished surface of our stainless cleats and fairleads is more often suitable.”

NOMEN has won several international design prizes in the past with its marine products. In 2013, the NOMEN CLIP-cleat won the DAME Award in the category of 'Deck equipment, sails and rigging'. This patented multi-function-mooring cleat is designed as a combination of cleat and fairlead. The CLIP-cleat always remains closed by its turning clip-ends, no matter whether it is belayed or not. No lines can get caught nor can anyone be injured. Casting off is possible at all times.

NOMEN also offers custom-built variations of its deck fittings. Further information at
