Everything you need for DIY equipment installs in a box from Digital Yacht.

UK-based marine electronics specialist Digital Yacht has introduced a new NMEA 2000 Start Kit designed to make it easy for users to connect their NMEA 2000 standard equipment.

The kit allows for up to three devices to be connected, such as AIS, plotter and autopilot, and comes complete with terminators, power cable and 1 metre drop cable. The backbone comprises a four-way 'T' piece with ports at each end for the terminators. This makes for a very compact design suitable for installing behind a helm.

Digital Yacht says the kit is suitable for DIY installers as well as boat builders who want an easy and value priced solution for integrating and installing modern boat electronics. The connection system will work with all leading electronics brands and can be expanded using standard components as required.

Digital Yacht has also published a quick guide to NMEA 2000 installations which is available to download from the website.

The starter kit is available from the Australian distributor, All Sat Communications, priced at $132 including GST.
