New MM50 source unit will be available locally through Navico.

A new audio source unit from JL Audio is set to be launched through local distributor, Navico. The MM50 unit features a 2.8-inch LCD screen, zone controls for volume and tone, and audio input via AM/FM radio, Bluetooth and USB.

The colour display offers separate day/night lighting and display themes, as well as independent user settings for display brightness and remote brightness. The zone controls include a configurable master volume control with independent control options for bass, mid-range, treble and balance. Volume levels can be managed together or individually at any time, and a maximum volume limit can be applied for each zone.

Audio input is via a digital AM/FM tuner with Radio Data System (RDS) display information (where available) and the ability to store up to 18 AM/FM stations. There is also Bluetooth streaming from compatible devices and a USB 2.0 connection for downloading digital audio files.

NMEA 2000 certified compatibility enables integration with a range of multifunction displays including Navico’s Lowrance HDS Carbon, Simrad NSS evo3 and NSO evo3 models along with B&G Zeus3.

The unit features large backlit controls and three remote controller options (each sold separately): the MMR-10W wireless remote controller system, the MMR-20-BE wired remote controller, and the full function MMR-40 NMEA2000 Network controller with LCD display.

Distributed in Australia and New Zealand by Navico, the MM50 is available from authorised dealers at $449.99 RRP with availability from June 2018.
