BLA Trade Talk: the Humminbird CHIRP

Comments Comments

There's a lot more to the HELIX 12 CHIRP than simply having a big screen.

Just having a big screen isn’t everything. The HELIX 12 CHIRP sports a bonded glass display, with a super bright and incredibly sharp 1280H x 800V pixel colour screen. Add to this an increased performance processor to help run exclusive Humminbird features such as AutoChart LIVE and you have one heck of a unit.

The sonar performance on the HELIX 12 CHIRP is next level, offering as standard built-in 1kW broadband CHIRP on all models. Don’t forget Humminbird’s class leading imaging sonar, with both Down Imaging and Side Imaging models available with CHIRP.

Not all forms of CHIRP are created equal. While some CHIRP products only allow the angler to utilise a pre-defined frequency bandwidth, the HELIX 12 CHIRP also allows the user to select multiple bandwidth settings to fully customise the sonar to their unique preferences.

• 12.1" 1024H x 600V resolution, glass-bonded display: See structure, contours and fish arches pop off the screen. And, goodbye glare. Our glass-bonded display delivers maximum readability in full sun.

• 16:9 widescreen format: We’ve turned the underwater world on its side. Easily view cartography and sonar imagery next to one another in widescreen format.

• 50% brighter display: You’re sure to take a shine to this. Whether it’s overcast or sunny, there’s no drop off in readability thanks to our brightest screens yet.

• 2X RAM: Gentlemen, start your engines. We’ve added new processors to the HELIX 12, upping the speed by 25%. Expect rapid map loading and screen refresh.
