Western Sydney ramps up Tinnie and Tackle Expo

THE 2012 Western Sydney Tinnie & Tackle Expo will now be come part of the Sydney 4WD and Adventure Show, giving visitors two Shows in one.

The Western Sydney Tinnie & Tackle Expo was launched in 2011 and offered a range of fishing and boating exhibits and entertainment. This year, organiser Alex Dunlop has decided to follow the lead of other major Shows across Australia and combine the Expo with the already successful Sydney 4WD and Adventure Show.

“The Tinnie and Tackle Expo was held at Panthers Exhibition last year was very successful, but for it to grow it needed to consider the locality, facilities and also what shows are on offer around the same time of year. The question was could it survive with all the current shows on offer,” Dunlop said.

“We are excited to be following the lead of other successful Shows across Australia such as the Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show, and the SA Boat & Fishing Show – each of which is presented in conjunction with a 4WD Expo.”

“The inclusion of boats, trailers and fishing tackle into the 4x4 show helps create a 'super show' that caters to all aspects of outdoor activities - and was the exact charter for the original Tinnie and Tackle Expo,” he said.

The site for the show at Eastern Creek is close to all major roads, easy to get to and has the potential to grow much bigger in years to come.

The Sydney 4WD and Adventure Show and Tinnie and Tackle Expo will be held on 12-14 October, 2012.
