Pleisure Marine in Perth joins boat stabiliser service network.

Twin Disc Pacific has added Perth-based Pleisure Marine to its Seakeeper Service Centre network around Australia. Twin Disc Pacific is the local distributor for the US-based stabilisation system.

Founded by Damon Johns in 2010, Pleisure Marine is an authorised sales and repair agent for MAN, Yanmar and Kohler generators and is a BIAWA-approved repairer.

The company's association with Seakeeper began at last year's Perth International Boat Show where a customer was looking for a stabiliser system.

“We showed him the Seakeeper 3 onboard the demo boat and he called Monday to order one,” said Johns. “We have since installed a Seakeeper 3 in a Peter Milner 36 and currently a Seakeeper 16 in a Sprayline 62.

“The market response has been fantastic over here. There is so much interest and discussion around the product and we are really excited to complete the S16 install to be able to demonstrate the roll reduction to current prospects with larger luxury vessels.”

Glenn Frettingham, Twin Disc Pacific managing director, said the appointment of Pleisure Marine will help meet growing demand in WA.

“The team at Pleisure Marine have specialist skills and a proactive approach to customers, which make them a perfect fit.

“Our strategy is to bring on more partners in the trailerable boat market as this is the primary growth market in Australia.”
