IN a statement released today Telwater GM Tim Atkins confirmed the purchase of Gold Coast-based tinny company Ally Craft.
“On Monday 28th of June Telwater acquired Ally Craft equipment and trademarks, we have no plans to produce Ally Craft boats in the immediate future,” said Atkins.
“We would like to commend Murray and Iris Cox on their long serving commitment to the marine industry, they have provided quality Australian made aluminium boats and we wish them all the best in their future endeavours.
“We hope to provide opportunities for those who wish to continue in the industry by offering interviews to existing Ally Craft staff members and receiving expressions of interest from existing dealers.
“We are committed to the marine industry and working in partnership with its dealers,” he said.
Ally Craft released a statement to its dealers confirming the sale and giving its full commitment to the production of its remaining orders.
“We are committed to finishing off ordered boats that are in production and expect to have these finished within three to four weeks.”
“After 22 years in the boat building industry, we are retiring, and believe that Telwater have the best infrastructure to service you going forward.
“We thank you all very much for your commitment to the Ally Craft brand over the years, it has definitely been an adventure.”
