Phelan continues Telwater leadership following GM Tim Atkins resignation

TELWATER MD Paul Phelan is set to strengthen his leadership role following the resignation of general manager, Tim Atkins.

After 24 years as MD, Telwater has transformed into Australia's largest aluminium boat manufacturer.

"I've taken a largely supervisory role in previous years and I'm keen to take a moreactive role in Telwater's future," said Phelan.

After acting as Telwater's GM for over three years, Atkins said that his resignation "was to pursue other business interests".

Phelan wished Atkins farewell by saying: "during his 16 years with Telwater Tim has made a meaningful contribution to our success, first in the factory and then later as general manager. He will be missed and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours".

Phelan said the leadership change will have little impact on Telwater's day-to-day operation, saying that it is "business as usual".

Phelan concluded by saying "in a tough business environment, Telwater will be supporting and fostering closer relationships with our dealernetwork".
