Navico in strong position for 2010

GLOBAL marine electronics giant Navico is in a strong position heading into 2010, due in large part to considerable sales in key markets last year.

Despite the market conditions in 2009, Navico recorded very healthy sales in both Australia and Asia Pacific regions.

Navico Asia Pacific’s chief operation officer John Scott said the company finished above its 2009 forecast and above 2008 sales.

“The impressive result was due to solid sales across a range of new products, in particular Lowrance HDS and Navico’s groundbreaking Broadband Radar,” Scott said.

“With the launch late last year of the Simrad NSE series of multifunction displays and Lowrance StructureScan full-panoramic imaging sonar, along with a host of innovative products planned for release across Navico brands this year, the outlook for 2010 is certainly promising.

“Combined with the continued strong support and performance of our business partners in Australia and throughout the Asia Pacific, Navico is confident of recording another very successful year.”
