Mindarie Marina awarded Gold Anchor status
Perth marina praised for excellence of its services and facilities.
The Marina Industries Association (MIA) has announced the latest addition to its Gold Anchor roll of honour, Mindarie Marina in Perth.
The marina joins a group of more than 20 marinas in Australia which currently have Gold Anchor status as well as more than 250 globally.
The Gold Anchor rating enables a marina to benchmark its services and facilities against 10 key criteria and 101 individual assessment items. Ratings range from 3 to 5 Gold Anchors with most marinas in the 3.5 to 4.5 rating range. Mindarie Marina has been rated 4.5 Gold Anchors.
According to MIA, the Gold Anchor auditor of Mindarie Marina commented on the vibrancy of the marina with not only very good on-water facilities but also an excellent on-land leisure and recreation offering.
Managing director of Mindarie Marina, Martin Smith, said it was an honour to be accredited under the Gold Anchor scheme.
“Management is thrilled that Mindarie Marina has been recognised, on a national and international level, as a 4.5 star marina. We have seen numerous improvements in the quality of services and facilities at Mindarie Marina over the years and we will continue to innovate, gain feedback from our marina users and ensure we are focused on continually improving our service for the benefit of our boating community in the future.”
MIA president, Andrew Chapman CMM, said the marina is to be congratulated for seeing the strategic value of Gold Anchor participation.
“Mindarie Marina has shown foresight in investing in Gold Anchor accreditation, not just for its marketing benefits but for its role in supporting the marina’s continual improvement in customer services and facilities,” he said.
