THE 2012 Melbourne Summer Boat Show takes place February 3-5 at Melbourne's Docklands.
Exhibitors include Melbourne Boat Sales who will be displaying the new Dyna 52 Hardtop, an elegant yet sporty vessel powered by Twin Diesel Volvo IPS 800 propulsion systems with a top speed of 32 knots.
Pleasure Cruising Club offers Melbourne's only luxury sports cruiser club memberships, and will be featuring a spectacular step on / step off valet service with a pay by the month option. Pleasure Cruising Club is also offering an incredible Boat Show Prize - a chance to win a four day free membership on a Pleasure Cruiser 28, including skipper training (Value $4990).
Windcraft will also be debuting a number of new vessels at this year’s Melbourne Summer Boat Show including the Dehler 41, Dehler 32, Hanse 385, Hanse 495 and Moody 41 Classic. The Dehler 41 is a performance yacht designed to win races whilst providing top quality for weekends away with the family. Dehler yachts are known for being uncompromising on quality with the hull being formed from vacuum infused vinylester hull with foam core. Floor beams are glued and laminated into the hull to distribute mast and keel forces, and supporting bulkheads are bonded to the hull.
Savwinch will be launching their all-new world first Electronic Fast Fall (EFF) variable speed Savwinch (Sav EFF) which drops anchor up to three times faster than normal speed and as fast as a free fall system. The new EFF model has been heavily researched, tried and tested and is already receiving excellent feedback from those lucky enough to have one fitted on board.
Visitors to this year's Show can fully immerse themselves in the boating lifestyle not only by stepping on board fantastic vessels, but also be by enjoying plenty of family friendly activities including a half hour yacht ride run by the Trailerable Yacht Association and dinghy sailing with Yachting Victoria.
The Coast Guard and Water Police will also be running mock water rescues featuring the Westpac rescue helicopter. There is plenty to do on land too with roving street performers entertaining the crowds and face painting for the kids, with crowds also guaranteed to be amazed by the stunts and acrobatics in the waterski show.
The Yamaha Supertank Fishing Show can help the public to hone their fishing skills whilst Club Marine’s Cooking Demonstrations will provide those recipes for cooking fish to perfection!
