Marine Industry Foundation tees up golf day
Charity golf challenge on the Gold Coast to raise funds for MIF.
Get your clubs out and make a date for the Marine Industry Foundation Charity Golf Challenge which is being held on 24 October, 2017, at the Palms Golf Course, Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club.
All proceeds raised on the day will go to the Marine Industry Foundation which works to improve access to boating for disadvantaged groups and provide opportunities for employment, education and training within the marine industry.
Last year, the Foundation raised more than $38,000 at a charity lunch in Sydney and has made several grants to Sailability groups in NSW and Fishability in WA to help improve access for sailors and fishermen with disabilities.
Entry for the golf challenge is $100 per player which includes 18 holes, golf cart, refreshments and dinner. The Foundation is encouraging participants to use the day as an opportunity to entertain clients or to catch up with friends and colleagues. For more details, check out the website.
The Foundation is also looking for sponsorship support from the marine industry – for further information contact the BIA Queensland manager, Aaron McKenna on 0430 115 043 or email@example.com.
