LOWRANCE has released a new transducer mounting system for sit-on-top kayaks.
The Transducer Kayak Scupper Mount is compatible with Skimmer transducersfor all Lowrance HDS, Elite, Mark and X-Series units – includingthe popular DownScan Imaging (DSI) models.
Designedfor most sit-on-top fishing kayaks on the market, the transducer mount fits scupper holes with a maximum circumference of 3.8cm (minimum 2.4cm), and maximum and minimum depth of 23.5cm and 4cm respectively. The mount is easy to install and remove, requiring few tools and no messy adhesives common to existing kayak transducer mounts.
By positioning the transducer directly in the water, the Transducer Kayak Scupper Mount ensures maximum sonar-signal sensitivity for the clearest underwater views of structure and fish. The mount operates with both the dual-frequency 83/200kHz Skimmer and 455/800kHz DSI transducer.
The Lowrance Transducer Kayak Scupper Mount will be available to consumers towards the end of 2011 with a RRP of AU$49.
