Gold Coast brokerage wins Beneteau sales award

The Yacht Brokerage recognised as leading Groupe Beneteau reseller in Asia Pacific.

Queensland-based boat broker, The Yacht Brokerage, was recently recognised by Groupe Beneteau as the leading reseller in the Asia Pacific region in the outboard power category.

The award comes off the back of approximately $10 million worth of sales achieved in the past 12 months in the Queensland market for the Beneteau yacht and Four Winns motor cruiser brands. Groupe Beneteau is home to both the Beneteau yacht (built in France) and Four Winns (built in the United States) motor cruiser brands.

The Yacht Brokerage principal, Peter Nicholson said he believes the award signifies the resurgence of Queensland as a leading centre for the marine industry in the Asia-Pacific region.

“Our strong showing in the Asia-Pacific region is outstanding given the fact that we are competing in one of the world’s most competitive markets,” he said.

“This award is based off total sales and it is a credit to our team to see us performing at such a high-level, competing against some of the biggest regions on earth in South East and North-East Asia.

“It highlights the growing confidence within the Gold Coast marine sector and the ongoing attraction of recreational boating to a wide-range of demographics based across Queensland, from millennials to sea-changers.”

The award follows a successful 2018 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) for the brokerage where it also received record levels of interest in the Beneteau and Four Winns brands.

The business has owned and affiliate brokerages at key locations in Queensland, servicing recreational and commercial boaters at Manly, Brisbane, Hervey Bay and Airlie Beach. In addition to the Beneteau Sail and Beneteau Outboard Boat range, as well as Four Winns, the brokerage has also been appointed to distribute Benetti sail division with Expedition yachts, and Haber Yachts from Poland.
