Have your boat washed at Pink Bay 6 to support breast cancer awareness.

This coming weekend, as part of its activities supporting Breast Cancer Awareness month, White Bay 6 Marine Park in Sydney is offering free boat washes (up to 32ft) and asking people to make a donation to the McGrath Foundation.

“With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it is the perfect time for White Bay 6 Marine Park to raise awareness about breast cancer throughout the marine sector,” said Jeremy Rose, GM, White Bay 6 Marine Park.

“This year alone an estimated 17,586 women will be diagnosed with the disease and they need our support. Without the amazing women who play a very crucial role throughout boating sector, the industry would not be what it is today.

“This month we are changing our name to Pink Bay 6 Marine Park whilst trying to raise as much money as we can for the McGrath Foundation to assist in placing specialist McGrath Breast Care Nurses wherever they’re needed, and make breast health understanding a priority.”

Alongside the month-long activities at Pink Bay 6 Marine Park, other marine businesses are joining in as well with PPG Marine Coatings donating a complete anti-foul for boats up to 80ft, Oz Jet Boating donating double passes for their jet boat adventure rides, and retailer and Gill Australia joining forces to donate $5 from every pink PFD sold.

The Pink Bay 6 Marine Park boat wash is on this weekend, 21-22 October; bookings can be made by email or make a donation here.
