Deegan Marine in Ulverstone on the north coast of Tasmania has won Quintrex’s 2015 Sales Excellence award for the highest retail sales growth in their network.

Dealer principal, Hadley Deegan, said he was thrilled to have won the award and was proud of his entire team.

“I would attribute our success as a dealership to having a genuine commitment and respect for our customers, an enjoyment for what we do and striving to improve the way we do business.

“I also believe that our experience and reputation over many years is a significant factor in our success,” said Deegan.

Quintrex account manager, Cameron Wood, said Deegan Marine had experienced exceptional growth over the past year.

“Deegan Marine experienced the highest growth in retail sales within their network which is an exceptional accomplishment.

“Their staff consistently provides exceptional customer service and enthusiasm, making them a pleasure to liaise with.

“Deegan Marine is an all-round great dealership and on behalf of the Quintrex team I would like to congratulate them on their win.”

Established in 1974, Deegan Marine is well known in Tasmania as a one-stop boating shop. A family-run business, it is currently owned by Hadley and Sandra Deegan.

Original owner, Lindsay Deegan, is a true boatie with a background in commercial fishing and a successful racing career under his belt.

Following the family’s footsteps, Hadley Deegan also pursued a career in competitive racing, winning numerous state titles and enjoying considerable success.

When he joined the Deegan Marine business in 1986, Hadley was an apprentice outboard mechanic who went on to achieve OMC Master Technician status in 1995.

The family passions still live on today with staff at Deegan Marine regularly participating in off-shore adventures, social skiing and deep sea fishing.
