There's nothing better on a fine day than a cruise on Sydney Harbour, enjoying the sights and sounds of one of the world's most iconic waterways. Delegates at next week's Marine17 conference will have the chance to experience what the Harbour has to offer on a special tour that will take in some of the key marine and boating sites around the foreshore.

The cruise is due to take place on Wednesday, 2 August, between the end of the conference's scheduled sessions and the start of the Sydney International Boat Show.

Places are limited but organisers say there are still a few spots left for what promises to be a unique insight into recent and proposed developments affecting the local marine industry.

Some of the key sites on the 4.5 hour cruising/walking tour include:

  • Barangaroo
  • Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, Rushcutters Bay
  • Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron, Kirribilli
  • White Bay 6 Marine Park/Sydney Harbour Boat Storage, Balmain
  • Sydney City Marine, Rozelle
  • Sydney Superyacht Marina, Rozelle
  • Sydney Boathouse, Rozelle
  • Bays Precinct, Glebe
  • Jones Bay Wharf, Pyrmont
  • Sydney Wharf Marina, Pyrmont

Industry experts on board the ferry will provide commentary and unique insights at the various locations.

The cruise leaves Pyrmont Bay Ferry Wharf at 9am sharp and returns at 1.30pm. Morning tea and lunch are included. More information on the Marine17 website.
