Chaparral appoints New Zealand dealer
US-built sports boats now available through Wanaka Marine.
Chaparral Boats has appointed long-established South Island dealer, Wanaka Marine, as the New Zealand representative for its range of US-built sports boats.
Ian Brown, dealer principal at Wanaka Marine, said the new dealer partnership came about as the result of a customer request.
“We had a local customer looking for something different. He was all about quality and performance. His research ended with a Chaparral 250 Suncoast outboard for use here on Lake Wanaka.
“Once the boat arrived it was obvious as soon as we pulled the shipping cover off that the Chaparral was a beautifully built boat, perfectly suited to New Zealand’s varied waterways.
“The first stock boats have been ordered and due to arrive before Christmas. The New Zealand dollar is strong, enquiry is up, and we are looking forward to presenting Chaparrals to our customers,” said Brown.
“With such a big choice, the biggest problem for many customers will be trying to figure out which model they want!”
Now in its 53rd year, Chaparral offers 40 different models ranging from 18 foot entry-level bow riders up to 33 foot diesel sports cruisers. Bow riders are available in outboard, jet and stern drives of various sizes and deck options.
The company also recently announced the world’s first saltwater surf boats incorporating the Malibu Surf Gate wake surfing system.
