Brooker Marine goes under the hammer
Brooker boats, trailers and manufacturing equipment to be auctioned off next week.
The end is in sight for the 50-year-old Brooker Marine boat builder with the administrators who were called in recently announcing details of several upcoming auctions to dispose of the company's assets.
A second creditors meeting scheduled for earlier this week was adjourned for 45 days to allow the auctions to take place although the administrators, Mackay Goodwin, confirmed that once this process is completed, “the company will inevitably be wound up at a later date”.
Three auctions of the company's assets will take place starting on 5 October. These include auctions of boats and trailers, plant and equipment, and boat manufacturing stock valued at more than $350,000.
The boats going under the hammer include a range of models from a 315 Bolt up to a 510 Stealth centre console including six 395 Trekkers models.
Details of the auction, which concludes on 10 October, are available here.
