Fine weather drew a good crowd to this year's Bobbin Head Boat Show.

Sunny skies brought out the crowds at Empire Marina Bobbin Head.

The fourth annual Bobbin Head Boat Show, held recently at Empire Marina Bobbin Head in NSW, drew a crowd of over 2,000 visitors who took advantage of the perfect weather to inspect some 30 new and second-hand power and sail boats as well as vehicles set up for towing.

Exhibitors included Empire Boat Sales, Mike Gaffikin Marine, Q7 Marine, Smart Boating, Mark Chapman Marine, Alto Holden Chatswood, Nautilus Marine, Australian Boating College, Propower, Australian Marine Sales, Quality Marine Clothing, Yachtworx and MCM Electrics.

The event was supported with charity sausage sizzles by Marine Rescue and the Bobbin Head Cruising Club in support of the drought relief for NSW farmers.

Event organiser Nicky Vaux said she was pleased with the show's result.

The show was well attended and had a casual festival feel. The range of boats on display meant there was something for everyone.

The boat show format provides the opportunity for guests to spend time with their families on different boats and imagine what it would be like to live the boating lifestyle with each boat.”

Sales and leads resulting from the show were strong, said Vaux.

The show has previously experimented with different dates to identify the best time to hold it. The September dates were selected as they fell a couple of months after the Sydney International Boat show and in the window after school winter sport and the before school summer sports and the Fete and Club Opening seasons.

We will definitely be running the show at the same time next year,” said Vaux.
