AZZURA Marine, a leading group of companies in yacht and motor yacht construction, hosted a team of international delegates at its Gold Coast City Marina facility during the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
The delegation was hosted by Austrade representatives Peter Ironmonger, based in NSW, and Willa Yang who is based in Shanghai.
Delegates from China and Thailand including Mr Yang Xinfa, Chairman of the China Boat Industry and Trade Association were among the group taken to the facility.
These visitors were keen to see the Azzura factory after hearing of the recent refit Azzura had been working on for Richard Branson’s Necker Belle, which has subsequently been commended at the World Superyacht Awards held in London.
“All were very much impressed by the professionalism of the Azzura Marine staff, how modern and advanced the equipment used is, and the high quality and precision of the craftsmanship on the $10million interior fit out currently underway in their facility,” said Austrade senior export advisor Peter Ironmonger.
David McQueen MD for Azzura said they had considerable interest in their interiors and he was extremely proud of the quality and workmanship Azzura was producing.
“We are very competitive in the global arena and fielding considerable enquiries both here and overseas. Azzura will be exhibiting at the Monaco Yacht Show in September where they hope to attract more business down to Australian shores,” he said.
