Aussies gear up for Fort Lauderdale

THE presence of the Australian marine industry will be as prominent as ever at this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

Australia’s leading internationally focused marine industry organisations, Australian Marine Export Group (AIMEX) and Superyacht Australia (SYBA), have joined forces to showcase the best of Australian products and promote Australia as an idyllic cruising destination offering first class service, quality refits and repairs and world class events.

The Australia-based company Aqualuma, a leading manufacturer of ultra-bright, long-lasting and low power-drawing marine lights, and current Australian Exporter of the year, has shown its support by confirming it will continue to be a major a sponsor for the 2011 show.

“Australian manufacturers and boat builders are major players in the international market. They have developed an excellent reputation in the United States and are confident of success at Fort Lauderdale coming on the back of an already successful show in Monaco.” said AIMEX chief executive MaryAnne Edwards.

VEEM's new VEEMUltraskew propeller is quickly growing a reputation in global yacht and superyacht markets. Veem will be showcasing this advanced new design at the show. Trial results from 2011 orders have been a resounding success with significant improvements to speed, smoothness and fuel efficiency enjoyed by shipyards in the USA, Europe, Asia and Australasia.
