AT a ceremony during the recent Korean International Boat Show Ara Marina was presented with International Gold Anchor Scheme accreditation. Ara Marina becomes the first marina in Korea to achieve Gold Anchor status. Ara Marina is also the first and only Korean Marina to have obtained International Clean Marina Program accreditation.
Marina Industries Association president Andrew Chapman presented Ara Marina with its 4 Gold Anchor accreditation rating.
He said the outstanding leadership Ara Marina continues to provide to the wider Korean marine and marina industries.
“By taking the lead in gaining internationally recognised accreditations Ara Marina is setting the standard for the Korean industry to follow. The Gold Anchor accreditation process has assisted Ara Marina to further raise its level of service and facilities. This not only assists the existing and future clients of Ara Marina but it also indirectly assists with the development of the marina industry in Korea. This in turn will mean more of the Korean public turn to the boating lifestyle as an attractive recreation and leisure opportunity.”
CEO Jong-hae Kim from Ara Marina said it is an honour to receive Gold Anchor accreditation from the Marina Industries Association.

Ara Marina is located in the state of Gyeonggi-do. It is a modern marina with 136 floating berths and 58 yard berths. It has a hard stand area including boat haul out, fuel provision and it has extensive options for dining and special events such as weddings.
