AIMEX to again host export awards

FOLLOWING the success of the 2009 Australian Marine Industry Export Awards AIMEX has announced it will again be hosting and managing the 2010 Australian Marine Industry Export Awards.

AIMEX said the 2009 awards were a huge success with 26 applications and over 250 marine industry professionals and media in attendance at the awards presentation evening.

“These awards ensure that Australian marine industry manufacturers and service providers get the profile they deserve, not only in the domestic market but also in the international arena,” said AIMEX CEO MaryAnne Edwards.

The export awards brochure will be posted to Australian marine export companies and service providers within the next week and the application form is available on the AIMEX website: www.aimex.asn.au. Applications will close on Friday 14th May, 2010 giving members additional time this year to submit applications. The judges are currently being finalized and will be announced in the next month.

AIMEX has improved the award category "Best Marine Industry Export Performance" expanding it to include small, medium and large exporter. This now opens this category to a larger proportion of the industry.

Awards will be announced at the 2010 Club Marine/AIMEX networking function on Thursday 29th July at Harbours Edge Event Centre, Sydney (first evening of the Sydney International Boat Show). AIMEX CEO MaryAnne Edwards said: “We are thrilled to have Club Marine on board for the second consecutive year sponsoring this major event on the AIMEX events calendar.”

Marine Business magazine is a sponsor of the 2010 AIMEX awards.
