Adelaide On Water show under review
South Australia's major on-water event postponed for 2017.
The Adelaide On Water Boat Show has been postponed for 2017 as the Boating Industry Association (BIA) undertakes a review of the event's timing and delivery. For the past two years, the show has been held in mid-October at Marina Adelaide in Largs North.
According to the BIA, good sales at the indoor Adelaide Boat Show has resulted in dealers preferring to focus on delivering product to their customers in time for summer rather than commit to the On Water Show. It is the only event in South Australia to include a significant large vessel component.
The BIA added that feedback from the exhibitors is that they are keen to participate but that the timing is critical.
“Our charter is to assist with member prosperity and as an active Association we are keen to deliver products, services and events for the benefit of our members and industry,” said George Bolton, BIA state manager. “These however have to be right for all stakeholders and the event’s postponement will allow us to take a closer look at how and when we deliver the show, to build on an established product with increased product and content.”
