Australian boat share start-up Flotespace has announced its successful expansion into the UK market.

Flotespace is an online market place where boat owners can generate revenue from their boats. When the boat isn’t in use, which for many people is all too often, it allows others to rent the “space” for overnight stays and unique working environments.

Company founder Hugh Treseder told Marine Business the reaction to Flotespace was overwhelming in the UK with positive signs for expansion.

"I'm excited to be working with some of the UK's leading marina groups. The positive feedback from industry and consumers bodes well for a strong presence and expansion opportunities in the UK market," said Treseder.

Locally, Flotespace is kicking goals offering boat owners and marinas generous incentives to take advantage of its unique service.

The service is free to list with no fees for boat owners, while background checks, a stress free insurance plan and two-way-rating systems offers boat owners and marinas peace of mind.

Treseder said the best is yet to come with more announcements planned and a strong future guaranteed here and overseas for Flotespace.
