Yamaha's record boatshow season

YAMAHA Motor Australia has announced record sales after the completion of the 2009 boatshow circuit.

Yamaha said the result is not only pleasing for Yamaha but a great sign for the entire industry as more confident consumers return to the market for a new motor or craft to get them on the water this summer.

Each year Yamaha puts substantial time and resources into producing a professional corporate display.

In an environment where some manufacturers chose to severely cut their displays, Yamaha again produced a striking and prominent display showcasing Yamaha's range of outboards and WaveRunners.

"When people go to a boat show they want to see professional displays and the latest products," said Brett Hampson national sales and marketing manager for Yamaha Outboards.

"To deliver anything less would not be fair to the people who have taken time out of their busy schedules to visit and support our industry's showcase events."

Yamaha was rewarded with a number of industry awards and more importantly over $25 million worth of finance deals being signed up at the national shows, a new record for the company and a great result for the Yamaha dealers whose contribution was vitally important.

"A pleasing change for this year's season was the way in which we were able to co ordinate our Yamaha dealer stands around our own corporate display," said Hampson.

"Our dealers' contribution and professionalism at the shows was second to none. They really are the best in the industry, we could not have achieved this fantastic result without them."
