Westerbeke D-NETTM Generators offer NMEA 2000R Certification

Westerbeke Corporation, with the production of its comprehensive line of D-NETTM, electronic, marine diesel generators, is now available with NMEA 2000R certification. Westerbeke currently offers twelve D-NETTM models from 5.0 – 26.0kW, 50Hz (5.5 – 33.0kW, 60Hz), that offer a standard WesterLinkTM or optional NMEA 2000R compliant databus.

Westerbeke D-NETTM generator functions can be monitored on a NMEA 2000R certified display panel which may allow other functions such as “start/stop” to be performed from a common panel with Westerbeke and other NMEA 2000 products (if sharing software with the NMEA 2000R certified panel manufacturer).

D-NETTM with the NMEA 2000R databus allows boatbuilders and their customers to significantly reduce the cost, weight and space normally required to run cables throughout a vessel. All NMEA 2000R certified electronics can facilitate communications over a shared digital databus cable using simple T-connectors to build a network for which the Westerbeke D-NETTM generator is available as a power source.

D-NETTM’s digital controls simplify diagnostic and operating data. Its digital display provides both at-a-glance LED status lights and a bright LCD screen where detailed information can be scrolled through.  Other standard features include safety shut-downs for overspeed, underspeed, low oil pressure, high exhaust and high coolant temperature.
