Stabicraft launches 2570 Supercab

Stabicraft Marine is unveiling its 2570 Supercab range in time for the southern hemisphere boat show season.

The new standard 360 litre fuel tank is an indicator of just how far this new Stabicraft boat can travel.  At 25.7 feet (7.85m) in length the 2570 Supercab has genuine blue water capability - which can be optioned into an overnight cruiser.

Stabicraft Marine's Managing Director, Paul Adams said the 2570 marks a bold new look for Stabicraft - and reflects its new era of accessibility.

We've put a lot of effort into our hulls in recent years, adding superb handling to their virtually unsinkable buoyancy - now we've got that nailed weíve focused on adding the x-factor.

Much of what is new about the 2570 is based less on marine engineering aspects and more closely on people and how they use the boats.

"When Stabicraft launched the GIII Pontoon in 2008, it delivered a hull that tracked so true the marine experts called in to test it described it as ëlike cornering on rails. It was a little surprising then when boat owner feedback described the best feature as a boarding ladder," Mr Adams said.

"This user feedback showed us that what was a pretty simple feature from our marine-engineering view-point was everything from a boat user," Industrial Design Manager Jamie Wilson said.

"Really, it has been an invitation for Stabicraft to step up, and really look at how people use our boats."

Wilson, who joined the company in 2010, has a background in both marine design and voice of the customer research, making him perfect to spear-head their new direction.

On and off the water, the 2570 Supercab is visually striking. The large bow rails and bow platform provide more than just a visual point of difference to the boat; they also play a big part in the boats' safety.  Launch and retrieval is safer with more room, more grab rails and easier access.

For the fisherman, the bow platform and large bow rails also provide another place to cast and work their prize catch, while the generous 200 litre fish bin has a gas strut lid.

With more boat buyers optioning increased fuel capacity, the new standard 360 litre fuel tank is class leading but for those wanting to go further again, fuel capacity can be upsized to 500 litres.

The 2570 Supercab comes in three standard variations.
