Raymarine appoints Taiwan distributor

Raymarine has appointed Marine Centre Asia as its exclusive distributor in Taiwan. Marine Centre Asia is now responsible for Raymarine sales, service, training and commissioning in Taiwan.

"Taiwan is a very important boat building market for Raymarine and in Marine Centre Asia we have a partner who is capable of fully servicing the needs of this market" said Ben Bowley, Managing Director, Raymarine Asia Pty Ltd.

"Of particular interest to Raymarine is Marine Centre Asia's very strong technical expertise. As the size of leisure boats built in Taiwan continues to increase, the complexity of the electronics installations has also increased and Raymarine needed to ensure that we could fully service this market requirement" Bowley continued.

Marine Centre Asia owners Will Frick and Tom Cooper have combined over 25 years experience in luxury marine and electronics, working with many of Taiwan's leading boatyards during this time. In taking up the Raymarine distribution Willi Frick, the Managing Director of Marine Centre Asia, moved back to Taiwan from Europe where he ran his own marine electronics business specialising in complex installations on large leisure boats. Marine Centre Asia's head office is in Kaohsiung and has showroom, training & repair facilities (pictured) and also a branch office in Taipei.

The new fully equipped marine showroom is a first in Taiwan and demonstrates considerable long-term commitment and service to the local industry.
