Scheduled for completion in July, the brand new Back Cove 34 is an exciting evolution of the popular Back Cove 33 it replaces.
The Back Cove 34 is styled in the ëMaine lobster boat tradition' with an elegant spoon bow, broad transom and classic lines. The flared bow and performance hull make for a stable, ocean-capable vessel while the high-tech construction methods of infusion hull and deck mean the boat will be strong, lightweight, quiet and very economical.
Emarine Australia's Jed Elderkin said he was looking forward to the launch of the new model.
"Whenever Back Cove creates a new model it is always the perfect next step," Mr Elderkin said.
"Back Cove has a very loyal customer base all over the world and the company takes care to communicate with owners, always applying a large amount of constructive feedback to the next generation of boats.
"This means the boats evolve with genuine improvements in detail ñ often in little things like head height, how easy it is to get into and out of bed, elbow-room in the shower and so on... and you know you'll still get the same incredible performance and master-craftsman's quality for which Back Cove is renown."
Below deck the new Back Cove 34 has a large island-berth and a convertible L-settee, along with a large head with separate shower stall. Beautifully-finished timber throughout creates a warm and homely feel to offer a comfortable home-away-from-home for leisurely weekends away.
The full galley, including two drawer refrigerators located under the helm seats, is situated on the helm deck and stretches out aft of the helm position. A dining area with inlaid, solid wood table is opposite the galley where four adults can sit to enjoy a meal or card game.
The helm deck is airy and bright and features Back Cove's iconic upright windows that provide impressive all-round visibility. Overhead hatches, opening side windows and a centre-opening windshield create excellent ventilation. The whole helm deck area lifts hydraulically for easy engine access.
The aft cockpit has a large, comfortable lounge area with an L-shaped bench seat and foldaway seat, perfect whether underway or at anchor. This area is ideal for a barbeque and has a walk-through to the aft boarding/swimming platform.
The Back Cove 34 is due for launch in July 2011 with the first model likely to arrive in Australia during spring. Emarine Australia will be debuting the new Back Cove 30 at the forthcoming Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show alongside the flagship Back Cove 37.
