Musto aligns with CYCA

MUSTO Australasia has secured an exclusive three-year licensing deal with Australia's most high profile yacht club the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA).

The agreement, ratified by the CYCA board last week (October 27), sees MUSTO awarded sole rights to provide clothing and staff uniforms to club members.

The Northern Beaches headquartered brand held off competition from six other apparel companies to win the licence, previously held by Line 7.

The deal also results in MUSTO become naming rights sponsor of the MUSTO International Youth Match Racing Regatta, held in November each year, in addition to sponsoring an Elliot six metre training yacht used by academy members.

MUSTO Australasia MD Duncan Curnow said the range of lifestyle apparel on offer at the club had been specifically selected by club representatives to appeal to its broad membership base.

Curnow said the brand was excited about having its apparel range permanently on display at the club and looked forward to welcoming a new legion of followers loyal to the MUSTO offering.

"MUSTO Australasia is proud to be associated with a program of the calibre of the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia's Youth MUSTO has always been eager to help secure the future of the Australian sailing community," said Curnow.

"This agreement assists the next generation of young talent and is just one of the many ways in which we can show our support.

"The MUSTO team looks forward to renewing their long and productive association with the CYCA," he said.

The announcement coincides with a raft of other changes at MUSTO including the addition of new staff and a move to larger premises.
