JV Marine World appointment

JV Marine World, Australia's largest marine retailer with outlets at Braeside and Laverton North, Victoria, has appointed Jim Katsantonis as the new service manager at its Laverton North branch.

"With all of the talk about the economy in recent times, we've found that boat sales have eased slightly, however, our service department has never been busier," said JV Marine principal John Stav.

"Customers are spending more on maintaining their boats and motors and so we've had to create this new position."

Katsantonis has a passion for boats and brings a wealth of experience to the role. Commencing as a boat washer before completing his apprenticeship, Katsantonis has over 17 years experience as a senior mechanic and has worked on almost every brand of outboard engine.

"At JV Marine World we have a reputation for looking after the customer, we represent some of Australia's leading boat and engine brands and stock a quality range of used boats," said Stav.

"We keep large stocks of spares and we have excellent service facilities. The thing that ties it all together is our dedicated staff. We attract good people and Jim falls into that category," he said.
