Healthy Aussie contingent for METS

Australia's marine industry will be out in force at the 2009 Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS) in Amsterdam in mid November. The event is the world's largest marine equipment show attracting visitors from more than 100 countries.

A large contingent of Australian Marine Exporters will be showcasing the latest cutting-edge innovations, exhibiting with AIMEX in the Australian Pavilion.

Whilst there has been a global downturn in the marine sector Australian companies continue to forge ahead. The combination of competitive pricing, innovation, quality and excellence of Australian products and their growing reputation in Europe should ensure Australian companies make strong sales at this show.

Highlighting innovative Australian marine manufacturers will be two Australian companies who have entered the DAME Awards - FinScan and Wright Innovation. Over the past few years Australian companies have featured strongly in these awards with Ronstan being a winner in 2008 and MultiPanel a finalist. Other AIMEX members who have in recent years been acknowledged for their innovation are Marine Protection Systems, GME and Evrsafe.

AIMEX CEO MaryAnne Edwards said "Australia will have a significant profile at this show with recent Australian Marine Industry Export Award winners all in attendance. Exhibitor numbers have also increased due to the support of the Gold Coast City Council who is providing an assistance package to those AIMEX members attending located on the Gold Coast, and similarly it is excellent that once again the NSW Department of State and Regional Development is providing financial support to a number of NSW companies attending METS."

The following companies will be displaying their products, many of which are new to the European market and highlight the innovation and expertise Australian companies continue to display:

Aeronaut Automation, Allyacht Spars, Aqualuma Underwater Lighting, Austral Propellers, Burke Marine, Coursemaster Autopilots Pty Ltd, Donaghys Pty Ltd, Evrsafe Marine Technology, FinScan, Global Moorings, Glowfast, GME, HyDrive Engineering Pty Ltd, Marine Tuft, Mandurah Boat Show, Marine Protection Systems Pty Ltd, Muir Windlasses Australia, McConaghy Boats, MultiPanel, Mustang Marine, Outback Marine, PFD, Palm Plastics, Poly Flex Australia, PowerDive, Ronstan International, Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, Sea Gyro, Stress Free Marine, Superior Jetties, Stebercraft International, Super Yacht Base Australia, TMQ Electronics, VEEM Propellers and Wright Innovation.
