Bigger and better

Surtees’ newest and biggest boat – the 7.3 Gamefisher/Sportfisher – has arrived in Australian waters.

Perth’s Aquasports Marine, which has been importing Surtees boats for the past 12 months, has just taken delivery of the New Zealand-built beauty.

“The Surtees are an exceptionally well-built boat and that’s what people want,” said Aquasports owner, Nick Di Toro.

“Sales have been going very, very well. In fact we’ve got another one of these 7.3s arriving shortly because we’re confident it won’t be sitting in the showroom for very long.”

Over the past 15 years or so, Surtees has earned an international reputation for building boats which feature high quality, stability, safety, and practical features.

Surtees’ self-flooding ballast tank means the boats are stable at rest while the soft, deep V hull and spray deflecting chines help lift the boat out of the water for a smoother more comfortable ride.

“Surtees are built and marketed as the perfect fishing boats, and they are,” said Di Toro. “But they also make brilliant all-rounders.”

Standard features of Surtees 7.3 Gamefisher/Sportfisher include six fully welded stringers, fully welded tread plate floor, sealed underfloor buoyancy, and heaps more.
