Space on fishing boats is always at a premium and making the most of the usable space on board is always tricky. The manufacturing team at BLA has developed a fishing table that helps you pack a lot of gear into a small area. The Tackle Station is built mostly from king starboard, which handles the tough Australian environment extremely well – it will not scratch, warp or discolour, is environmentally stabilised for the harsh sun and will not rot like timber.
The table is designed to incorporate five full size Plano tackle trays in a large compartment underneath. The table itself features a permanently engraved measuring tape to ensure your fish are legal size; knife holders to store your knives out of harms way; recesses for your pliers or other tools and six lined, stainless steel rod holders that have gimbal inserts to stop the rods from rotating. These rod holders can be used for storing rods or holding rods while trolling. The table can be used in place of a game chair, making use of the game chair mounts and be interchanged as you need it - or fix mounted to the deck as it comes complete with its own pedestal.
LOWRANCE last week launched its Elite 4 and Mark 4 sounder and sounder/GPS combo units in a media event held at Narabeen Lake north of Sydney.
