SYDNEY-based All Marine Spares has announced it will be distributing the Craftsman Marine range of engines to the Australian market through its existing trade customer base. The new engines were offically launched at the recent Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
All Marine Spares managing director Leigh Francis told Marine Busines he is optimistic after a successful SCIBS, and is expecting Craftsman’s quality reputation and sell-out success in Europe to be a big drawcard for the Australian market.
“After the great success and market acceptance of these engines in Europe we were heartened by the overwhelming success at Sanctuary Cove,” said Francis.
All Marine Spares recently visited the Craftsman Marine factory and was instantly impressed with the care taken to produce each engine.
“We were blown away with the level of technology and sophistication in the production of these engines,” he said.
Craftsman Marine is a Dutch company established during 2008. The parent company, Craftsman Automation, is one of the largest engineering and construction companies in the world. Craftsman’s push into marine will be targting the recreational craft and Iight commercial vessels sectors.
Craftsman Marine engines are, according to the company, designed and developed wrth three major factors in mlnd: reliability, safety and low cost of installation and maintenance. The range of marine dlesel engines are based on the rugged and reliable Mitsubishi power plants.
An efficient dual cooling circult and a high-up position of the alternator (far away from any bilge water) are a few of the hallmarks of these engines.
The new range also meets the ever increasing tough envirnomental standards imposed in Europe.
“Craftsman Marine engines fulfill all the emmission standards set by the European ERP for pleasure craft emmisions,” he said.
Craftsman offer five models, with two, three or four cylinders and an output of 12, 16,27,33 or 42 hp, respectively.
